This beach elopement was extra special because my husband was the officiant and he has known Joey since they were kids. Joey and Caroline said “I do” on a windy day in October. The only witnesses were me and a random lady we found on the beach who agreed to sign the marriage license. I’ve known Joey for years, but just met Caroline as we were walking onto the beach. I loved everything about this elopement. They were so excited to get married, you can see it all over their faces. They had a big wedding celebration with their families a few months later, but wanted to elope just the two of them before sharing the moment with anyone else.
